As New York Fashion week is under way this week, all of the top beauty bloggers and fashion guru's are crowded in the streets of New York. Ohh how I would love to be there right now.

There's no question that with each passing Fashion Week comes a fresh wave of outfit inspiration.
  Even though most of what you are seeing at fashion week is a SEASON AHEAD.. You can still wear it NOW!

DIY: before you go to bed, mist just-washed, damp hair with a leave-in conditioner and a volume-boosting aerosol spray (that way it will dry soft, and won't leave hair hard and crunchy) You can also use your kevin murphy beach spray... Then twirl one-inch sections of hair into spiral braids and let them dry overnight.

Yummy Hair.

It's been awhile since I have done a post- We were on a 2 week vacation, and now are moving...
  My life is crazy right now.. & work is even crazier. & I'm LOVING every minute of it!

    here is a recent picture of a client I had the other day- we had been coloring her hair dark for awhile now, & now she is ready to transition in to more blonde. she had about 4 inches of re-growth.. I foiled every single inch of her hair... whew!

This color process was hard work, but well worth it. Going from dark to blonde is a transition.. I like to take it slow so the hair doesn't get completely fried, and is still in good condition when the client walks out the door. Seeing these transitions are so fun to go through with the client.

Candyland Photoshoot

Okay- So.. A few weeks ago we did a "Candyland" themed photoshoot for our salon.. We had the AMAZING www.shutterfreek.com do our pictures.. We were EXTREMELY happy about the outcome and love his work. The weather was a bit crazy that day so he took the girls in and got some other pictures that weren't with the candy and those are RAD!
                         This day was a blast to do! We wanted to do the hair/makeup like something you don't see everyday.. couture :)
    Enjoy! This first model was my model.. she is absolutely stunning and great to work with!

The front of her hair, I made to look like a "rose" and the front was used with ZERO BOBBI PINS :-) I did her makeup fun, bright & candy looking :)

loving life

Happy belated Easter :) I hope everyone had a wonderful one.. celebrating with friends & family.

Here are my Easter Munchkins <3 At my moms house :)
Easter was great... Started the weekend off with kambria's friends over friday for a play day.

We painted eggs, and some other crafts... decorated cupcakes, had lunch outside, walked to the park & played.
Successful day.

After spending the day with 9 girls.. by myself... I realized I am glad I am not OCTO MOM... 1. my body is already "gifted" after having 2 girls... and 2. I would go crazy & have to hire some employees just to help out... 
   As soon as the girls left Kambria asked when we could do this again :-) 
I am thinking a tea party when it warms up :) already have ideas brewing. 




We had several egg hunts the weekend.

While everyone was waiting for the hunt to start, there was a little girl, i am guessing around 2 or so.. SCREAMING her head off.. wanting to get the eggs.. (all the kids were being held behind this tape type stuff)  She was crying like it was the end of the world and was trying to pry through her moms arms. I am SO glad berlyn contained herself... and when they said GO..she WENT for it and gathered those eggs up SO fast.. Kambria did great too!! She doesn't like fighting with other kids for eggs.. and if she was heading to one, another kid would come grab it before her. :( She really wanted a golden egg at this particular egg hunt... but didn't get it.. I told her maybe next year :) 

The bunny this year was a SUCCESS... When we were down in albq over spring break, berlyn spotted the bunny at the mall and FREAKED... clinged onto me so tight and was saying "bye bye" in turbo speed talk! I thought for sure she would do the same when it was time to go see him and take a picture with him... While Josh stood in line, the girls and I watched up closer the other kids go first to take pics with the good ole' bunny... I think this helped Berlyn out... and of course that sissy was actually sitting next to him and she didnt have to touch him...and she is totally doing her "scared" smile here if ya cant tell.
....but...no crying :)


We colored eggs.. well except for berlyn, she colored the table, floor, and herself. and broke almost every egg she was given.




Kambria started softball about 3 weeks ago, and is so cute :) I am helping out with the team... It's fun to get out there and play.. its been YEARS.... for real!! She always wants me to tell her stories from when I played softball and since i pitched, she wants me to teach her how to pitch.


she wants to be a superstar...and a softball player.. great combo ;)






I am also very stoked because we added a new addition to the family...
a new family vehicle :)

I have been eyeing these white tahoes or yukons for a long time now... and when we started looking i didnt think we were going to be able to get one, they were kinda out of our price range... 
but.. we have one now :) and I love it..and I thank God for blessing us with it and for allowing us to get one!!




I am headed to durango tomorrow for a class for work and am super stoked... of course we will squeeze in a yummy lunch & maybe some shopping ;)
hoping for nice weather!!
