Good Will

So... today we had some free time after church, and lunch of course... Berlyn was sleepy so we decided to break out her umbrella stroller, and just stroll around the store... sure enough she was asleep within 5 minutes :) darn, just realized I didn't get a picture.... So we browsed the store... and I actually found some good finds, and I am excited to share....and to also tell you, you don't have to buy name brand clothes, or spend a fortune to dress cute, and stylish....

Finally Friday!!

Woooo hooooo!!!!
Super stoked that it's friday.... && I am super stoked at all my finds yesterday in Durango, Co... I didn't take pictures of all of them... butttttt I did however, take pictures of the lovely shoes I got!!

First off..... Let me start by saying using my new paint pot MAC eyeliner this morning, was much more of a breeze than yesterday... practice does make perfect! however, IT IS UP ON MY EYELIDS ALREADY!!... HELP!!!!!

Today I have on a cropped top that says "Love is everything" which i heart, this is from Tj Maxx... $12.99, with just a solid blank tank underneath, from Target $9.99, and some ripped pants :) Tj Maxx $19.99... along with some shoes, and bangels, and hoop earrings that are not pictures.. Shoes TJ Maxx $9.99, bangels all together $12.99

My shoe finds :)

I went to durango yesterday for a dr appointment and went shopping with my mom after... :) thank you mom, by the way!! <3 I love all my goodies!! We went to one of my FAVORITE stores there...... Silk Sparrow!!! It is the cutest boutique ever, and is usually always having a sell!! I got 2 cute dresses, which I will do a post about later..

These shoes were $10!!!.... Yep, only $10.... SO CUTE and they are acutally REALLYYYYYYYY comfy, NO JOKE!!!.. They are like a nude color and will totally go with everything!!

and these rockers right here were $15... and they are so comfy as well..... also will go with alot!!

I am super stoked for both of these comfy shoes, I know I will get a ton of wear out of them, & I can't wait to show you what I pair them with.. I normally don't buy shoes in stores, since I am a member of shoedazzle.com I just order online, but when they are on sale, and THAT cute... it's a MUST!!

and then there are these, which were a tad more expensive.. $99..

I have literally been on the search for an awesome rain boot for SO long... & I found them... they may not be for you, nor your taste, but I am going to rock the socks out of these...yep I will be wearing these with a dress and leggings... maybe some shorts and long tunic tee.... i am so stoked to try these with an awesome outfit, and put them to work... Rain Rain, please come!! :)

tricky thursday.

I named this title "tricky thursday" because my make-up was TRICKY today... I am still not happy with the outcome, buttt I had no time to re-wash my fax, and fix it... so today was kinda my practice day with my new stuff..
**My eye liner that I normally use is just the black liquid eye liner  by MAC and it gets all over my eye lids literally within hours... even ONE hour.. it is everywhere... I have tried different primers, etc... pencil eye liner and it still gets everywhere.. after asking around, I decided to try the MAC PaintPot eye liner... it arrived yesterday!!!  I was so excited and ripped the box open only to find this stuff is HARD TO PUT ON!!! my goodnesssss I need to practice more with this, and make order a smaller brush!!!! I ordered the 219 MAC brush for the eyeliner.** Another new thing that I got was the way awesome eye shadow that is WET... from MAC, of course.. called "impeccably rich" I actually won this from the make-up monster!! check her out on FB... & i am clueless how to use it..
I took some pictures of what I used on my face this morning...

I forgot I got this new blush brush as well!! the 129S... the S stands for short, which I think is totally rad to fit in my purse!! SCORE!!!

This Strobe Cream is the bomb... it makes my skin look more fresh, and I feel it works as a primer as well, it gives your skin a BOOST, and enhances your skin in all type of lights... I always apply this before my make-up.. If I am in a hurry and don't have time to put powder or foundation on, I make sure I put this on, then a little blush!! MAGIC.... it lasts a long time too, as you can tell my lil baby has been through alot... hence the teeth marks on the top left corner..

This is the new liner I talked about above, along with the new brush I got to apply it.. This was very difficult for me, I for sure will pracitce more, and maybe watch some videos on "how to"... I feel like I couldn't apply it thin enough, and it was messy for me.... I will do another update after I have gotten to play with it some more..& the true test will be to see if it gets up on my lid :)

This is the new MAC prep & prime..in the "light boost" i mainly wanted something to go under my eyes, to cover up dark circles/coloring, PLUS to give me a LIGHT BOOST... just like the name!! I really like this, I am not sure if I LOVE it yet... or if I need to try different primers with it as well.. but it does work..However, I feel like I need MORE of something to cover up the darkness under my eyes.
This isnt technically for the darkness under eyes, it does what it says it is supposed to do, to highlight the skin, give it a radiance boost, shear (whatever word you would rather use ) I will keep this :)

THIS... this right here, I LOVE!!! I got this just recently when we went back to CA In March for the WEDDING.... I got my make-up done at the MAC Counter for my bachelorette party and the chick used this, it is amazing... It is so shear and lightweight, and seriously gives it a touch that looks FAKE... haha I used this on my friend when we went out for another friends birthday, and she fell in love with the way it looked... This is sooo handy for summer, it doesnt look  caked on and gives off the PERFECT glow!!!

I apply the above powder with this... this brush is also a must.. the MAC182.. I love how big this is, it makes putting the powder on so much easier/faster and gets the job done!

This is the wet shadow I won from the make up monster... that I had alot of troubles with.. I applied my primer before, which is the MAC "hush" maybe I need to invest in a new one? Any suggestions out there? Also I feel like this DID look like it was caked on, and looked as if it was shadow glue, does that make sense? It didn't go on even or smooth?..hmmmm what to do, what to do?

I love this dress, it is soo comfy, and flowy and you can add a cardigan with it, belt, jacket, etc.. to get different looks, and the belt is my new love, and the shoes are so cute and chic! :)

Wednesday... OFTD

Hello bloggers out there :) I am going to do an "outfit of the day"... I have decided to do these, for anyone to get ideas on what to wear, and for anyone to give me ideas they have... I DO NOT think I am this high-end fashion person... I am not a millionaire and cannot purchase clothes all the time.. I WISH!! :( So here I am showing you, how to work with what YOU have... how to mix it up, etc... because that's all I do..


Pictured here: Shirt- target.. it is this shear shirt with a pretty neck-line that doesn't really show in the picture, i got it on sale for about $7 i believe, and i can wear it alot with different cover ups/sweaters, tucked in.. tucked out..etc.. I LOVE IT... I also have a dark blue one just like it... Shear Sweater- Just a plain black little coverup for work, since I think showing a ton of bare skin in the office is a big no-no... I got this at TJ MAXX for $12.99. Scarf- Target- this is just a light weight scarf that I think dresses up any casual look, I recieved this for mothers day 2 years ago I believe and it was around $12. Belt- H&M this is just skinny beige belt that I LOVE because it goes with so many different things, and gives black some color.. this was $7 at H&M that I got on my honeymoon. Jeans- these are the seven7 jeans (not the seven for all mankind) I think they sell these at express as well.. I got these at TJ Maxx last year for $25.00 Shoes- not yet pictured, from Urban Outiftters from my mom :) I am not sure how much she paid for them, their shoes usually aren't that expensive and I believe they are on sale.. I am going to say $19.99
Jewlery- I didn't have time to put any earrings on, since my babies were tugging at my legs, I did however put on two bangels.. one I got at a boutique in durango, co & one from H&M.. I will picture those next... I believe the cost for both of them together was $15.
WaLa.. Ready for work... Total Cost $83.98
Which I consider a good deal since most of these items you can wear in the same week, even 2 days in a row and no one will notice :)

So I have gotten a lot of questions on how I curl my hair, what type of curling iron i use, etc... I will do another post about this, with steps... I just started learning how to work my hair, and I must say.. I love it... I used to have longer hair to my shoulders and cut it off.. inspired by chelsea kane!! <3

** if you see any basics on sale that you love, example; solid color shirts that can be worn different ways, scarfs, etc.. i say got for it.. they will last you a long time, plus you can dress them up/down & wear them multiple ways!**

what really is in my bag?

Since that is my title.. I thought I should do a post about what is in my bag?... Wanna know? A ton of junk!! haha..
first off, I LOVE my purse... I got this for mothers day from josh & the girls, I beleive they got it at TJ MAXX... I have worn it almost every day since.. (EEK).. & it pretty much goes with everything I have.. (I think anyways)

The color isn't exactly white, and it isn't exactly beige.. I would say more netural color, I think it is so funky and fun!! :) This was under $40.00 and I think it is such a good price..the brand, I have never heard of before *Olivia + Joy* I will look out for more stuff from this brand in the future! : )

Wallet (target, which I love) it has a ton of room,  & fits all my junk. I got it such a long time ago, I am pretty sure they don't carry it anymore.

Pen- pink :) I almost never carry a pen, whenever I need it, I don't have it.. when I don't need it.. I have it.
Hair brush- not just any old hair brush..this one is amazing & i will show ya'll on a diff post.

Make-up Case- From target. which in need a bigger one, and I have already broken the zipper :( will do a post about whats in there next time. It's still super cute, though.
Keep Calm And Carry On- I LOVE THIS little notebook.. I write down all of our expenses in there and keep it with me at all times, and store receipts, etc... super handy!

DRY SHAMPOO****

I have never been a fan of dry shampoo... well actually lemme take that back, I have never been a fan of "TRYING".. I just didn't think it would actually work on my grease bomb hair.. so it's been years of me washing my hair at least once a day, many times twice a day ( if i was going somewhere later in the evening) .. i am just an oily person, and it SUCKS..
So YEARS later... I have read in many blogs about dry shampoo.. I have heard great things about the Kenra Dry Shampoo... Well I was at TJ MAXX  ( I know, I have NEVER bought product from there before, and I don't really recommend it, since it's not actually from a salon) HOWEVER... I thought why not try it from them first to see if it is any good AT ALL... So I bought it for cheaper..

I have heard it comes in spray (which I use) and powder(which I will try next)

The spray one I got from TJ MAXX didn't last too long, & I am not sure if it's because of where it came from, or the actual spray... I would say it lasted 2 weeks.. I have read reviews online that say the powder lasts longer.  I ordered another can, because I wanted to see for myself and try it out..

Application can be kind of tricky. Be careful not to overdo it because you can be left with powdery hair. Here’s how to use:

• First, shake the can very well before use.
• Lift sections of your hair, and while holding the can 6-8″ away, spray product toward your roots.
• Wait a few minutes for product to dry.
• Use fingers to shake out the excess product.
• If you want, brush through your hair at this point to evenly distribute.

If you are a blonde, this is a definite plus, because it makes your roots look fresh, and like you just got a dye job! SCORE!! :)
